I attained my Grade 8 in Drums with Distinction aged 16 and I’ve been playing professionally and throughout my education with bands, musicians, orchestras, and musicals contributing to wonderful performances and events with whatever was required musically for the job! In my early years (aged 11) I performed with Milton Keynes’ Music Service’s advanced group of ‘Rock School’, a weekly event for rock musicians to play with others. Whilst at school I volunteered my free time to rigorous rehearsals for the yearly musicials, including ‘Hairspray’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, and the self-produced ‘Notre Dame’, which were all highly received by the local Milton Keynes press. The pit orchestra in Hairspray was quoted by audiences as ‘sounding like a CD recording’, and I was voted by the production team as ‘Best Musician’. More recently I was fortunate enough to have been a part of a band that signed to a minor indepedent label and also toured across Europe with them.
My styles vary from Rock, Fusion, Funk, Contemporary, Metal, Jazz, etc. and most needs can be accomodated to. If you want to achieve grades then I can help you progress through all the grades, but if not and you just want to play for fun, then thats also cool! I only got into grades when I had been playing for 4 years, so I come honestly with no expectations, pressure or presuppositions.
